My name is Maryanne Pope and I'm the author of a creative non-fiction book called "A Widow's Awakening." My husband was a police officer who died in the line of duty in 2000, so this book is the wild journey :) through the first year of grief. I'm finding readers are loving it because it's very candid and real! It has sold 1500 copies so far.
The book is resonating with women who are grieving their own loss - but I'm finding that general readers (mainly women) are really enjoying it as well. The number one thing I hear back from people is they had a hard time physically putting the book down.
